I think the perception about life in the US is that everything is massively expensive, the job market is cratering, you see more homeless people on the streets every day, and bombing Iran is to help cover for the terrible domestic situation and serves as a distraction from the Epstein files. I personally think this helps position trump to try and remain president or slip the country into dictatorship. He has used the courts to position that and now will create emergency after emergency to solidify his justification for calling off elections or for arguing that he should become dictator.
Another thought I've had is it's another trump oil grab, I don't buy the shit about nuclear Iran or doing this out of some sense of helping the world.
