  • You can't make yourself calm down because our emotions control us, not the other way around - but you can control your breath and your breath can affect your emotions. Box breathing, 4-7-8, or even just deep "flower breaths". All work great at centering yourself when emotions are getting out of hand

  • I've been boggled by American inaction in this and I wonder if it's because there's no recall function in our system? Maybe folks are just waiting for the midterms, but we aren't seeing civil consequences (firings, boycotts, etc) either. It genuinely seems like there's something uniquely American about the lack of consequences here

  • I kind of consider that to be plausible. 330 gallons sounds like a lot but it's only 6 barrels and there's way more effective ways to get rid of bodies (which I think is the implication). Also, justice isn't being achieved, not because of lack of evidence here, but because disgusting crimes are being covered up, and disgusting people being protected. I'm ok focusing on "why aren't any men in jail for this right now?"

  • It's a disgusting attempt to disenfranchise millions of women and anyone else who changes their name, or doesn't have time/money for the hassle, but it's also only one prong of the attack. The name match requirement would be at the time of voter registration, so wouldn't affect current voters unless..... Massive swaths were purged from the voter rolls - this is a reason why the feds keep suing for voter roll information from states, and why red states have complied

  • I only watched via clips on YouTube, but I think they did a great job. I think the guy voicing Kermit called themselves a tribute band and the voices Were a little jarring at first but the vibes were so spot on with the original, I loved it - even more than all the movies that've come out (excepting Christmas carol).

    I hope more episodes will come out! I'll need to figure out how to watch more directly
