  • I saw an interesting observation during returns last night that there was a trend of more rural districts keeping incumbents while those closer to cities flipped to Trunp-endorsed candidates. I'd love it if these redhats get whomped by Dems in the fall,

  • Republicans hoped to flip this because harris won by a hairs breadth, but Greene is winning by 22? A +22 point Dem over performance would be a massive landslide - maybe enough to override vetoes

  • About 60% of conservatives don't want it and they've been able to stop progress since Lieberman killed the public option in Obamacare. There's also the issue that while 90% of more liberal Americans want some form of federal assistance, pharma and health insurance lobbies Dem representatives very hard.

  • Probably lots of reasons. At least one of which is that too many don't want to pay for services for people who "don't deserve it".Another is a religion-based idea that helping people is bad for them because they won't work without 'motivation'

  • Imagine if jones had lost the AG election, this would be over without appeal

  • Good luck VA! (I'm guessing the ayes win by 6)

  • I always thought frog and toad were pretty idle-rich-coded. I approve of their glow up to anarchosocialists

  • They aren't targeting the subset of the population that uses OSM. At the pace (mis)information spreads, they only need to make it a bit harder to find truth

  • A more cynical guess is that it's so that the scale of destruction doesn't have an accessible paper trail

"What town? Never heard of it. Glory to the buffer zone"

  • I dunno. I think that insurance will usually only cover Replacement Value, so if it cost them $20 per item and they sold it for $25, they could only claim $20. Then compounded with failure to meet contracts and updated cost of production (may cost $21 to make now) I doubt that they made money. You're right that the cost of insurance is where the real hurt will be - see ship insurance in the Strait

  • That's not entirely fair since they voted for a broad anti-PAC measure earlier, they just don't want to also single out AIPAC. Maybe they should tho

  • Wasn't there a user that swore up and down that ken martin was built different? This looks like more of the same

  • Not anymore. Another L for the establishment

  • I wonder how many people are confusing booker and Jeffries. Is booker (senator from NJ) in a leadership role? While he sucks for his own reasons, if he wants to boot Schumer, I'm with him on that at least.

  • Strait is closed because we went to war with undefined goals that have now become... Open the strait.

Lives and treasure burned for literally nothing except Israel's bloodyhirst

  • It was a decent hand-off / launch. It's expected to take a bit to get their feet. Will be interesting to see how it goes. I do hope it ends up more British humour than American

  • Trump weakness but this was a primary and the seat is likely to stay red

  • I think Trump voted by mail against her. Another L for him
