  • You’re not wrong in it being a fantastic app launcher, but it being locked down makes it useless for many, sadly.

    Being able to sideload is crucial for me at least, and the day google locks that down on Android devices is the day I will build a mini-PC for the living room.

  • Fiberlogy MattFlex has been awesome!Also thumbs up for Add:North. Been really consistent with both PLA and PETG.Filamentum is also really nice.

  • Yeah they have properties that make them desireable, like making them easier to print.

    I just can’t get myself to play with them knowing the air and my fingers will be full of microscopic sharp particles. Maybe they do nothing, but I’d rather err on the cautious side.

    That being said: I won’t be buying Bamboo again myself. The H2S is awesome, but my next machine will be RatRig/Prusa (European)or maybe even Snapmaker. Still waiting to see how they hold up after some more time, and if head swappers are better or worse than toolchangers like INDX.

  • I always thought of the CPU as the beating heart and the MoBo as the vessel/body.At the same time: upgrading CPU often requires a new MoBo too, so I guess they are bound together anyways.

    For the original question I'd say CPU + MoBo swap is a new machine. GPU and RAM are upgrades.

    Would stay in northern Europe, central Europe at the most. Need my four seasons and I can't stand weather above 25 degrees, so northern UK would work too I guess.

    Wish I could deal with the heat better as there are so many fantastic places further south.

  • I'm in this boat.

    I don't drink a beer every day, but probably 2-3 times a week, I crack one while making dinner.Not for any buzz, just because I genuinely enjoy the taste.If I'm out, it's fine, and it also happens that I don't drink any for a couple of weeks because I need to be able to drive the kids somewhere.

    I rarely ever party and get drunk. At most a couple of times a year.

  • Yeah I’m no expert, but this looks like extrution issue to me too.

    My H2S looked similar in one corner, as the bowden tube from the factory is a tad bit to short, so the feed was uneven when it was curved/stretched to the max.Replaced it with a 3 cm longer one, and it worked fine again.

    I’d try a cold pull, then smaller test pieces. No point printing the whole bed when the issues are everywhere. When it’s nice, test the whole plate.

  • Carbonara in Krakow, Poland.It was authentic and tasted incredible.

    The next few I ordered at «italian» restaurants had ham, cream, peas (!!!) and one even onions. I just stopped ever ordering it out and learned to make it myself, but the one in Poland will forever be in my mind.

  • Unless the meassurement in your strip is wrong, I’d guess like you two that something in the FW makes it draw slightly more at idle.

    An easy way to test this is to revert to an older FW. Can be done easily in Handy.If that fixes it, you know it’s the printer. If not, then it’s probably the sensor in your strip.

  • I can’t comment on connectivity, as that is a personal preference.I respect it though, but have given up myself.Having a safer car with creature comforts outweighs the benefit of complete privacy for me. I’d probably think differently if I didn’t have a familiy to keep safe….

    Regarding range: 500+ km is super nice, but not necessary for most people. Our shortest range EV is 406 WLTP, so realistically only 300 in winter conditions. That’s 2-3 hours of driving between every charge stop, which we need to do to eat/relax/use the bathroom anyways.In summer it’s even further.Charging takes 15-30 minutes, depending on SoC when we stop.

    For any trip shorter than this and in every day life, we don’t need to stop at all as I can charge both at home and at work.I get that might not be the case for most people, of course.

    For those who can’t read Norwegian: Nationally, 98,6% of ALL cars sold in Norway in April this year were electric.In every single fylke (state/region), the percentage was over 95%. He’s referencing total car pool, whick takes 20 years to replace.

    This guy is full of shit for some unknown reason, but he’s sticking to it.

    EV’s work fine in cold climates as proven every god damn winter in the Nordic countries alone.

    I’m out if this dumb argument now. You were wrong, shit happens. Stop spreading lies in the future just because you like changing oil and spending all your savings on servicing your old fosil cars. The rest of us live in the present

  • Not 100% for me, but probably 50% of the time on the road and in hotels.I used these years to save as much as I could before changing to a office role.

    It was amazing as a young man, getting to see the world and being paid to do it, but all the things people envy about travel gets incredibly boring fast.Lounge access, hotel upgrades, nice rental cars…. Once you’ve done it 10 times, it’s just another day at work.

    Hotel breakfast will never be something I look forward to again, and that actually makes me a bit sad as it used to be the highlight of vacations.

    My advice: if you’re young, save as much as you can as this lifestyle matches poorly with a partner and children. You will be happy you did when you get tired of missing all birthdays and events and swap to anormal hours with (often) less pay.

    Otherwise: enjoy it! Traveling us fun, but make sure to set up some «you-time» where you explore and enjoy where you are. Try local food and turn off the brain for a few hours, so your only memory won’t be the office building you visited
