I’ll write something here later probably. In the meantime, hi to whoever’s reading this I hope you get a chance to enjoy something kind today :)

  • Yeah I was gonna say rare Worcester W

Also the next joke was “unfortunately they have to live in Worcester” but considering where they’re leaving from it’s harder to make that land.

  • Tbf it was half decent when they still had Buzzfeed News, which was actual journalism. They shut that down in 2023 though.

  • How Buzzfeed of him.

  • This is the most 20s/living alone thing I’ve seen in a minute

  • That’s actually kind of sweet.

  • Dude was in his own way, constantly. I mean, I get it. Depression can be a bitch sometimes. Could also have just been his programming ¯(ツ)_/¯ he was amusing during my read at least.

  • Thanks to climate change the snowflakes melted. /hj

  • Far more positive and civil; people actually engage in their replies instead of the stream of recycled quips. Bad faith discussions usually get called out as such; less astroturfing.

Small-ish forums probably help with that too since users run in the same circles and there’s less overall “noise.” It’s also much more imperative to comment on posts since there may not be much engagement otherwise.

  • Iirc one of his wives reported him having a copy of Hitler’s speeches on his nightstand.

    Found an article:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/27/us/politics/trump-fascism.html

Mr. Trump has long expressed interest in the most notorious dictator of the past century, Adolf Hitler, whose Nazis also used that phrase. In a 1990 interview, Mr. Trump said he had a copy of Hitler’s “Mein Kampf,” although his first wife Ivana Trump and the friend who gave him the book said it was actually “My New Order,” a collection of Hitler speeches.

  • Precisely.

    Maximum chaos 🖤🤍🖤🤍

  • Mushi will now deposit fur on everything that smells like you 🖤🤍

    Congrats!

  • “Do what you can. And what you can do is enough,” she said. …Ocasio-Cortez reminded her followers several times that no deed of resistance is too small.

Honestly, continuing to exist/taking a moment to be nice to yourself in an administration that hates you counts. Keep existing.

A lot of these click-baity titles and over-simplified summaries seem to be adding to this very problem of guilting people for being overwhelmed.

Unfortunately that’s the system but please don’t feel guilty for being human. Kindness and compassion is resistance, and starting with yourself is a valid step.

Fuck the forces who are selling a solution to a problem they created but are trying to say is your fault. /endrant

  • Buying anything from California will also teach you this.

(They put cancer warning stickers on everything, for anyone not familiar)

  • I’m going to pretend you’re asking in good faith and would genuinely like to learn.

“Stimming” is “sensory stimulation,” or self-regulating behavior. When used in this context it’s not sexual. It helps (typically neurodivergent, but I’d argue most) people better process the environment around them by having a sensory input they can focus on.

Examples of stimming are hand-flapping (waving one’s hands around), clicking a pen, listening to music, tapping one’s toes, chewing gum, just to name a few. I’m willing to bet you have stims that you may not even realize, and that’s perfectly okay.

TL;DR: Stimming = fidgeting that helps you focus/calm down, it’s not perverted.

  • Reminds me of the dorkwad who leaked military(?) secrets to his friends on discord a couple years ago. I think he was about their age at the time too, which tracks.

  • Unfortunately the live-rotting musk-scented fleshlight probably enjoys this sort of attention.

    Still funny though.

  • That bird has more self awareness than most humans combined

  • sudo launch -r -target ~
