  • Try setting the scarf steps to 1 and the Bridge Flow ratio to 1.5, (as low a 0 and as high as 2). Then under Speed uncheck the Slow Down for Overhangs and set the speed to 20mm/sec. This is often a good place to start and works well on my Bambu mini. For testing, I print an upside down box with a 50x50 cavity and a height of 8mm.

  • I have a John Deere skidsteer. To even start the machine you need to crawl over the loader bucket, turn around with your back to the machine, kind of fall back into the cab to sit down inside the tight cab, feet on both hydraulic peddles, buckle the shoulder/lap belt, close the front glass door to access the ignition, toggle a safety switch, then turn the ignition key to start it. A fighter cockpit has more room.

If for any reason, if you need/want to dismount from the machine you must reverse each step to shut down the machine to get out. If you do one thing out of order it immediately kills the engine and stops the machine. Imagine needing to do all that multiple times a day or even hour.

A single seatbelt to buckle ain't no thang.

***And yes, the machine is for sale........

  • Good thing I live where cell service is extremely spotty and has no coverage.

  • I want my next car to be an ev… but with manual window winders

Then Slate has an EV for you!

  • Prusa is a good choice if you are willing to spend the money. My Mk3s has been and will always be a tank to print with. These days the Core 1 is what you want from them. But multicolor printing is going to cost a noticeable amount more. If you set on multicolor prints, this is a hang up for many.

If you decide you can't/won't spend Prusa money, then maybe look a Qidi. A bit rougher around the edges, but seems to have decent hardware. They really lean into being able to print high temperature engineering filaments. My next printer will be the Q2 as soon as management, (Grandma), OKs the funds. I probably won't get their AMS because I already have a Bambu A1 mini with AMS lite. But Qidi has their own version of AMS that won't set you back as much as Prusa will.

Not that it matters too much, but Prusa runs on Marlin firmware and Qidi runs on klipper. Marlin is more beginner-friendly, but klipper is a lot more adaptable and changeable in the hands of someone that knows what they want. While still being very approachable to beginners.

  • The Miley Cryus Linux has more nudity and tatoos. Blus it takes a Wreaking Ball to your SSD.........

  • Yeah, just did that with orca Slicer this morning......

  • You're almost there. Do the living bear responsibility "unto the 7th generation"-- to steal a butchered quote from the Christian bible-- for acts of the dead? Or do we all need to leave the dead to themselves and concentrate on the sins of today instead.

  • I never said that it did. But the European powers never stopped their genocides due to colonizations either. The apple seldom falls far from the tree. But the Europeans seldom get the credit for all the things they did to bring the world to this point.

  • No it did not. And I never said it did. But the actions of those Europeans that colonized the Americas, (and anywhere else they set foot), are still felt yet to this day. And those Europeans have massacred their share to children also. They just sweep that part under the rug. They even added to the lexicon of war by giving us WW1 and WW2.

  • They did die a long time ago. But the effects of their colonial actions reverberate down through history.

  • That is certainly a comfort to all those that died.

  • There would have been no genocide in the modern view if it weren't for those crass, profit seeking, and bloodthirsty Europeans that invaded. They really need to take the responsibility for their actions. And the bulk of that genocide occurred before the US existed because the diseases those Europeans brought to the Americas that the existing inhabitants had no immunity to.

  • The state of Virginia cries about the battle flag the 1rst Minnesota took during the Battle of Gettysburg from the 28th Virginia on the July 3 day of the battle to this day.

They have asked for the flag back 4 times. Each time we say No!. The 1rst Minnesota took that flag in open battle and the 70% casualties was the blood paid for it. The blood of 4 men directly paid for its capture.

Their state motto hasn't meant much since that battle.

  • Raspberries are very delicate. I've got maybe a very short 1/4 acre of wild raspberries growing about my yard. And I can tell you that when picked, you can start to see them degrade within an hour or two after picking. Often in less time.

Now I don't know how many raspberries Driscoll picks every day. But by the time they get from the field and get sorted, washed, packed and boxed, and into proper cold storage that might take a good half day or maybe a full day. And then maybe the next day the wholesale grocer comes and gets their order and brings them to their warehouse where they sit in cold storage for another day or two before getting onto the grocery store shelf. It could be nearly a week after you have picked them before you buy them.

Supply chain delay can be a beeotch.

  • My wife and I have a family to give you a justification to not have children. So, I'm glad I could make you feel better about your choice. That was pretty selfless of us I think.

  • No, just a bad mother. They can be either conservative or liberal. Don't ask me how I know.....

  • Hey, I understand. I need to a 100+ mile round trip just to buy groceries. I still don't buy fresh produce from Walmart because it doesn't last long enough between the 3 or 4 weeks between shopping for groceries.

So if I can't buy it from a good grocery store or grow it myself, I do without. I cannot afford the wastage.

  • Pro Tip: Never buy "fresh produce" of any kind from Walmart. Find a grocery store that has good produce and only buy there. It's worth the extra money.

Fresh berries are hard to ship. And raspberries are probably among the hardest to ship 1000mile/kilometers and expect them to last. And most commercial varieties of berries taste have no flavor anyway.
