  • I'm a tech guy, I work with it all day everyday, I love it and what we can do with it. But I also absolutely hate what's being done with it. I love the tech behind generative AI, LLMs, automation, computers in general, Linux, etc. But man, when I see the shit being pulled by tech companies and governments, it makes my blood boil, and I'm genuinely terrified for the future. We could do so much better...

    So probably a strong -6

  • Jeffrey Dahmer was just a hangry dude !

  • Preferably in an easy, maintainable way. Like markdown in a git repo.

  • Don't worry, they'll figure it out later

  • Enough calories for the rest of your life!

  • Even though it failed, it probably highlighted how fragile the balance for sustainable life is, like no other experiment could have.

  • That was not surrendering, that was actively participating

  • Can't wait for your divorce, see if you change your mind if you find yourself on the brink of homelessness.

  • I really like YAML but way too many people use it beyond its purpose... I work with Gitlabci and seeing complex bash scripts inline in YAML files makes me want to hurt people.

  • Legal or not, it would create an absolutely terrifying legal precedent.

  • A state should absolutely review the subsidies given to any company, no matter the size. A subsidy should always be transparent in its use.

  • One thing Windows is absolutely amazing at, is backwards compatibility. A software from 20 years ago can still run seamlessly on a newer version. That's something to behold, and it definitely makes the system bloated. But then, on top of their shady practices, they add a lot of useless shit, which makes the bloat even worse.

  • I mean, a lot of key software are FOSS. A world without linux, curl or ffmpeg would be extremely different.

  • Trump will always throw your ass under the bus at some point, no matter how loyal you've been. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a delusional moron.

  • Such an unimportant, unstrategic resource that you can afford relying on other countries production!
