Here in Toronto area it is easy to tell the genders. Male mosquitoes are about 10 times the size of the females. Big honking things that look terrifying but do not harm. Are the squitos different gender sizes in different other areas?
It was over 20yrs ago. All I remember is it was a natural organism that ate the algae and it worked. I did a quick search but all of the info on it was in 10 top or 5 top algae killers lists. Did not have time to drill down.
I remember about 10-15 years ago a buddy of mine was selling this pool shock stuff that was all natural, some sort of microscopic critter that liked eating algae. They tested it in a completely green pool and it turned the water clear overnight.
Guess they are too dumb to know about stuff like that.

I did back in the 70’s. I worked at Firestone tires after school and weekends for about 5 years. I changed tires (swapped old for new) and did on car wheel balancing. Towards the end I would fill in for peops who were sick etc at different locations. Had a blast.
We were around 17 and went to cruise Yonge St strip as was cool to do back in the day(70’s). My buddy was 6’6” and I was a round butterball.
We did the strip and then buddy says umm I am almost out of gas, got any money. I am broke.

We put them on and proceeded to mooch. We made so much we half the tank with enough left over for a fast food meal. Never did it again. Felt kind of guilty but we were young and foolish.
I am talking the us right now not other countries. One can always find an exception to the rule.
IMO it is unsafe to travel in the us right now compared to how it used to be. Again IMO why would I take the chance if I don’t need to.
Also I do not travel anywhere anymore as I am old and do not feel safe pretty much anywhere these days compared to travel in the past due to either age or times.
