If you won't try it then maybe that's true. But I tried it, even gave it a full hour because it's supposed to take 45 minutes for the algorithm to learn what you want to see, but even after an hour it was still showing me things i had little to no interest in.
Interesting thought experiment - is a pc exactly as efficient as a resistive space heater? In a pc some tiny amount of electricity is converted to light and sound and kinetic energy instead of heat. But then again, don't those other forms of energy just eventually just turn back into heat again? Hmmm...

And on top of that, the author was generally correct for most situations, but usb (and especially usb c) truly has replaced a ton of separate connectors with a single standard. And it's very likely to continue to replace even more as time goes on
No it wouldn't. Meta just stopped selling the very expensive Quest Pro because the very affordable Quest 3 moved massively more units. Almost no one wants a VR headset that costs more than a thousand dollars because the 300 buck devices already do almost the exact same things

Exactly, it entirely depends on context. In a big city they all have to be fenced, but in a rural area where the playground is in a giant open field then it's fine to be unfenced
