  • They're building desktops with laptop components.

    Most laptop failure is physical damage to the enclosure or the board pops and the only thing that matters is getting OEM. Plus you can have a nice keyboard.

    A nucish box and portable monitor is cheaper.

  • In a lot of way, the electric grid binds us all together because we have to maintain and improve on the other side of that, it's a powerful way to motivate folks(rimshot). A lot of countries have had issues with this over the years.

    Trying to put solar back in that "box" is not a good use of our time.

    It's not cold fusion, but it just may be close enough.

    From Chinas perspective, they're building stuff we can't. We gave them step one, they solved step two and are ready for three. It really does appear to work like that. Capital expenditure just is different. We tend to use that as internal control rather than problem solving. Which is where the rub is.

    From Chinas perspective the US needs to adjust and from the US perspective Russian gas is too cheap.

    The cost of the disagreement has real potential to starve a tremendous amount of people and cause horrific generational damage to a lot nations.
