  • I do get tired of every piece of every thing we produce in any fashion being something to monetize somehow for ad revenue.

  • I'm wondering about the price too. Feel like we see someone trying to do this every few years and most of them tend to fall apart when someone figures out how much it will cost to do it effectively.

This one seem to have kept it very simple though. Not exactly a new idea but simplifying paper feed with the continuous roll & cutter idea might be genius.

  • Not a super complicated device, but toner would be a very different tech stack, probably not.

  • This part should have been a lot more visible and not just hidden as part of a generalized forum post. The error the individual users got doesn't do anything to make it clear what the user or server owners need to do.

As an intentional change by Plex, presenting basic guidance as to what the error theyve caused means should be the absolute bare minimum. This is the piece that annoys me most.

  • I wonder if he ever got to realize that his lasting contribution to humanity was going to be improving the sex lives of several entire generations.

  • I heard someone say that 64% of new animes last year were Isekais. I can't prove it, but I believe it.

  • Like... You should probably get to work organizing then because they're already doing it.

  • HR doesn't use AI? Where are you working, as someone with firsthand knowledge, our AI acceptable use policies had to be rushed because HR was already there before anyone else even realized it was going to be a big deal.

When it comes to webapps, HR is real rough as far as shadow IT is concerned anywhere I've worked and same with anyone I've talked to.

  • Seconded, mine got rid of actual in store ordering and replaced it with kiosks that are basically just a giant interface for the mobile app years ago. I've heard most of their drive through orders are from mobile orders too now, but that is purely anecdotal just from chatting with the guy at the drive through window while I was waiting after placing a mobile order in the parking lot.

  • Bro, we said a kids show.

  • As someone whos had many cats show up this way... Don't bother checking just assume and treat. Depending on your area, solid chance your fleas may be mostly immune to the cheaper flea collars. I've never met a flea infestation that could survive a few weeks of oral nitenpyram and you can order that online.

  • It sucks that that's the best option, but if we've made it to that point I personally would rather just use the website without extra steps. Not a fan of PWAs.

  • 'Smooth Robust Flavor'.

I feel like you could have a pretty good advertising campaign bringing back Joe Camel and having him sell coffee and you'd barely have to change anything at all.

  • I always found this one interesting because I've talked to several people who work with and maintain Elevators and they all take the stairs unless they absolutely have to. The requirements for them are pretty intense but the potential for catastrophic failure is supposedly just as intense.

  • Seeing Matthew Broderick in anything still ruins the entire show for me after hearing about how he killed 2 women in Ireland and just got away with it.

  • Focus on performance, wow, well the industry has certainly changed a bit.

  • People are downvoting you because you're telling them that the law isn't fair, sucks my friend.

I do wonder if Xvideos or some of these other companies that are primarily international have any infrastructure in the US/Florida that could be affected by a ruling of some sort. I feel like there might be something there depending on how they're taking payment for services like Xvideos Red.

  • New warning label unlocked: Do not eat the Batteries.

  • It's fun and I recommend it, but I'm hesitant to say you can 'replace' your existing systems with it. You'll probably mostly be able do what you want to do, but we're still in the enthusiast stage and there's going to be annoyances and frustrations. Home assistant is also one of the easier things to setup as far as self hosting goes, but you're going to pick up some skills on the path to getting it working.
