  • "And it has pockets!" - Woman, mostly

  • It's like watching a great serial sitcom several years in. None of the jokes are funny because you're missing out on why it's funny. Same here, go back to some early stuff and maybe it'll change your mind. But this one is pretty meta for a series he's been on that I for one love.

  • Good luck, I've not been successful here yet.

  • Same and same! The man has changed my life in mild but appreciable ways.

  • Lol, pass

    Off the hook

  • If I start saying this again, I'm blaming you!

  • My issues prevent me from being able to read allowed without sounding stupid. But otherwise I read a few books a week, so are we sure this is evidence?

  • $250k annually, and we feel like we can afford not to worry as much as we used to, but not wealthy. We're American.

  • I need this as a T-shirt!

  • The book Lies My Teacher Told Me by James W. Loewen goes a long way to accomplish this. At least it did for me.

  • 🤣🤣🤣

  • My parents bought a fancy Samsung fridge with a screen 5 years ago. We bought LG. In the first year they had theirs serviced 6 times before replacing it with the same LG fridge we have. Earlier this year right before the extended warranty ran out the compressor on my fridge died. They've not had a single problem with theirs yet.

My brother bought a Samsung TV that was supposed to be better than my LG OLED. In the first year the anti glare coating wore off enough that there are bright spots you can't not see. My LG TV is fine.

    Typed on my Samsung phone.

  • A lady I can't stand who is condescending to everyone like the worst version of a grade school teacher resigned recently so she can market her GPT "models" full time.

Last week she used "Salem" her GPT prompt BS to read through a detailed document my department put together to see what was missing. She shared her screen with obvious gpt slop and started pointing out all the things we didn't answer. The lady on my team who put the very specific and detailed document together just started reading the answers right from the document that showed it was clearly and precisely answered. The lady I can't stand stopped sharing her screen and quit talking.

The moral of the story, gpt did me a solid by convincing this person who's clearly never heard of the Dunning Kruger effect that she needs to quit her well paying job and stop being a pain in my ass.

Thank you GPT!! Best thing is ever done for me.

  • I recognize this is harder said than done particularly in the market since at least 2008. Advice I got early in my career is to swap jobs on average every 3 years and negotiate for at least a 20% increase each time. So far it's worked pretty good.

  • No, but I will now! Hell yeah!!!
