Might have the big dumb

I hope you have a good day

  • Insecurity exacerbated by the rise of social media. It's really easy for impressionable teens (not just them, but they are the most vulnerable group) to be affected directly by the consequences of social media. Toxic masculinity allows them to fall into the andrew tate trap because it tells them that this is the easy solution to the insecurities they face. I'd argue covid also made this problem worse as well

  • Yay!

    Jump
  • Duck tax

  • Where-wolf (werewolf)

The joke is that the clinician is asking where they got bit, but the patient understands it as asking if it was a werewolf or not.

  • By the time trump hands over the US there might not be anything left, considering how much has exploded in 4 months

  • Just wear a glider jumpsuit so you can just ascend up with telekinesis and then glide the rest

  • Yea thats the one problem. You could get a clipon for your keychain but it feels bulky imo

  • I just make sure i have bags in everything: my fanny pack, my work backpack, and my car. My car has like 3-5 at the very least, so I use one and forget about it, at least I have some more. I'll probably even add one in my wallet just in case. Redundancy is my solution to being forgetful

  • I usually forget the big bags I have because I say I'll put it back in the car tomorrow and that ends up being like next week, but the small foldable ones I have always go in and out of my fanny pack immediately, mostly cause if im unloading groceries I still have my fanny pack on and the act of folding it reminds me to put it back

  • Get a foldable bag that you can stuff in your main carryon (purse, backpack, etc) in the event you forget

It's a good backup. Just gotta put it back once you unload everything or else you forget about it

  • Brine can be from industrial waste

Technically, brine just means a high concentration of salt in a fluid. It doesn't necessarily have to be sodium chloride like we know, it can be other salts, like calcium chloride. Though the most common case for industrial brine is just desalination plants, other industries can still create brine, like mining/oil drilling. It also depends on how it's released. Large amounts dumped at once is the reason for manmade brine pools.

  • Solid post, froge approved.

  • There are lakes in the ocean called brine lakes/pools. Brine is essentially concentrated saltwater; its high salinity means it's denser than water. On rare occasions, brine doesn't mix enough with the existing saltwater around it, sinking to the bottom of the ocean and forming these lakes. The lake itself is usually devoid of life; brine itself is so salty that animals go into toxic shock if exposed for too long. However, the edges usually are full of life, where usually things like mussels and other extremophile organisms thrive.

Side note, subnautica's lost river is based off of this. No big leviathans in real life though, at least none observed yet...

    Video for fun: https://youtu.be/ZwuVpNYrKPY

  • The college special

Just a bit of minor data cleanup beforehand, totally legit

  • Keeb goes hard ngl

  • Youtube is not all bad. The algorithm is, but the vast amount of content on it means that theres some genuinely helpful stuff. Videos about repair and fixing, educational videos on any subject in the world, videos about acceptance and self love

There's no hope for facebook though, except the not so facebook marketplace (im gonna need a resurgence in like craigslist for that)

  • Yea big gains for current billionaires which as far as trump is concerned are the only people he cares about

  • I actually had a nightmare recently where i got jumpscared enough to punch in the dream, woke up because of that, and reflexively continued my punch and hit the wall

What a wack dream that was

  • Mothers always pass the X chromosome due to how the egg works from what I remember. The sperm determines whether you get x or y for the second part.

There is a rare event where you can have multiple sex chromosomes, like XYY, but the X is always present (at least for humans). Considering the genes in an X chromosome are vital to life, even if we could artificially create YY, it would probably end up nonviable

  • I wouldn't mind the stock market exploding if the economy didn't also follow suit

It's absolutely bull that the entire country has to deal with this shit when the stock market drops while only the rich benefits when the stock market does good.
