  • The problem is that they increase the price, today is 12, tomorrow 13 and so on, all this without paying properly the artist (and also financing a shit ass company)

If they increase prices without a proper explanation, i'd stop using the service too

  • I suggest Metrolist which will soon have a desktop version too (Linux, Windows and MacOS)

  • We don't have affordable housing because everyone keep high the prices, many countries (like USA or Italy) have enough free houses to host all the homeless people in their land

  • Khm-khm, arm boards, khm-khm

Even x86 hardware, because everyone is now selling shit without RAM and SSD/HDDs but with the same prices

I need to dig into that a bit more, but I'm not sure if it will work with NAT on ISP side (with is a common thing at least in region I'm from).

    It should work in theory

  • Yeah i enjoy working but for my project, not someone else bullshit

  • Not everyone have static IP

    You can use a DDNS

and device that can work as server

Yep, if you don't have any hardware or money that sucks, the hardware costs a lot, what i could buy with 20-30€ costs over the hundreds

  • It's not AI at all, someone has to make the design, do the plumbing, the electrical wiring, decorate it etc etc

Also, all the 3D printed houses are failing

  • The design is also made by a human, an AI would just make gibberish

  • It's a disadvantage here though, it means less people supporting it and politicians ignoring it more

  • That's even worse

  • It's not all the smart board though

  • Projectors are bad, they look like shit in most light conditions, you would also have to remove some lights to make space for it and a whole lot of issues

It's also nice with smart boards to be able to change colors easly, not having to change chalk often, it doesn't make your hands dirty and you can save lessons for later

  • Or when the app does it automatically after you switched to another app

  • Yep, exactly what i was thinking, maybe the only troublesome thing may be the heat generated by the drivers and not being able to put an heatsink

  • I still don't understand why people call the biggest entrataiment industry "frivolous" especially when some stories are better than many films i saw

  • Would be cool to bring back 3.5" floppy as some sort of cartdrige for PCs but instead of the disk they have an SSD or similiar

  • The problem is that with GPL we can at least cherrypick the features and implement them ourselves, with BSD, everthing get closed and you get fucked

  • What i did more than once was directly get in contact with a mantainer or the lead developer(more often than not i befriended them too) and suggest some GUI improvements directly, it's ofc not doable everytime because otherwise the devs would just have too many people to manage.Instead, ask if you can join the development team as the "UX/UI person" and show what works you already did, there is a good chance that you can either join or they will ear you out more often when you make an Issue/PR
