  • 100% capitalism is the main source. And definitely not kill but engrave in people's minds that trying to have five children is selfish. If your action is the kind of action "if everyone does it, it is a big problem but because they don't I can do it" then there is a very good chance that it is a selfish behaviour. Reducing population will I think transform capitalist economy too. Less work force means higher demand for it and therefore companies will eventually have to pay higher wages. Less population means less demand for products and therefore capitalistic way of "cutting corners" mode of mass production will likely be not as profitable. Sure therewill always be people trying to capitalize on new means of production and yeah I also agree that changing the economic system will be required to prevent. But even changing the economic system will be easier with less population.

  • Overpopulation and billionaires can be part of the problem at the same time. We can produce so much resources because of the capitalist approach of cutting corners and going cheap at the expense of environment. More ethical ways of producing stuff would mean significantly less than what we have now which would require less population. Moreover it is funny to call this the ecofascist rhetoric because implementation of the idea presented in the OP would require forced displacement of billions of people living in cities to rural areas at best, to deserts and tundras at worst.

Also people like Elon who thinks they should distribute their sperm all around the world is at the intersection. So no matter which way one chooses they are always the problem so maybe we can agree to start with them and see if it gets better.

  • No what I was saying is more related to discussion in bad faith. I find discussions around things like "Bernie didn't call it a genocide he called only it a horrific crime so he is no different from Trump" quite vacuous and possibly in bad faith too. For instance, I think that if he was the president, US would not be backing the genocide irregardless of whether he called it a genocide or not and that is what matters.

  • but think of Peter Thiel???

  • "in and out four days"

  • you haven't even read my previous msg did you? oh wait judging by the single downvote on each post you did. I suppose you just did not want to process it in that case.

  • dang it I could almost see the bots

  • If this guy runs for president we will have many bots going "oh yeah what about that one time he hesitated to call it a genocide". Don't get me wrong it is %100 a genocide but equating someone with Trump because of this would be ridiculous, he is one of the most progressive democrats around which makes for a nice jumping board.

  • yeah especially if the next democrat leadership (if there ever will be) is like "patience guys change takes time, it is not a magical fairy tale"

  • "In order to set this up quickly, then-Conservative government ministers accepted an offer from Palantir to build a system to administrate the scheme, based on its Foundry platform, for free for six months."

Name a more iconic duo than conservatives and tech oligarchs

  • They should be suing Trump. It was a scam by him to funnel money to him and his billionaire friends' pockets.

  • This is the correct way to do AI, use it when possible locally, without gate keeping its secrets and without violating user's privacy. If AI is here to stay, I would much rather have alternatives like this than couple tech oligarchs dominating the whole field.

  • Does the touch screen work without problems? did you follow some sort of tutorial or was it as straightforward as installing linux on a compatible device. Also what is the base linux you used?

  • while UK moving on to give full health data access to one of the most evil tech company that has ever existed

  • I mean honestly if you asked any AI, with relevant OS info, first thing it would tell you is how to configure your laptop to suppress lid off action.

  • and then other packages like mistral were affected because they depend on tanstack so those were direct credential hijacks?

  • So how does this actually work? Lets say there is a package called A version 2.2.1. Other creates a fake package A 2.2.2 with malicous script and publishes it in npm. My question is why would anyone install this if it is not coming from the original package's publisher? Would an automated updater even use these packages for an update if it is not coming from the same publisher? My second question is did this attacker use hundereds of different accounts to publish these hundereds of packages? If not isn't it suspicious that a single account published so many packages all at once?

  • Who doesn't clearly need what? On another note, I think the people who generally need to GTFO of discussions are the ones lacking discussion skills.

  • I am well aware of that particular shadow. However this magnificent birb is filled with forms of shade like that see:

You can't actually reliably outrule the possibility that what you have drawn is just a shade and this birb's beak is actually tiny. Ofcourse I have googled the birb and have seen that infact what you have drawn is the most likely the beak, but that is another issue.
