  • if they had made a unified copilot agent they would have won. Think open claw with the power of NPUs for small tasks and cloud for big queries dedicated APIs for interacting with all the microsoft products special tailored version for developers. More focus on retrieving information and doing small tasks for the user than generating slop.

    The first versions they released were so fucking bad and every app had basically just a chatbot with zero functionality. It ruined the product for when it could actually do tasks.

  • This is economics mixed with some rage bait. None of this is a workers rights issue. This is just standard business in America they enjoy the benefits and consequences that come along. These are very highly mobile workers who were well paid and well compensated. These workers got better exit packages than every country with "strong workers rights". There is absolutely zero reason to pretend to care about this. Should cisco should just constantly expand its workforce infinitely, should they have published a detailed reason for letting every person go.

    You'd expect this to be like oh 4000 people were laid off because cisco predicts a downturn in the economy but they're just restructuring and no longer require those people. They will hire more back for the new path.

  • Do you honestly care about the month to month hirings and firings of Cisco? These companies are giants and restructure regularly. If Cisco comp their workers properly which they did then IDGAF.

I dont know why people are muddying the water arguing over the minor details and its insane to try paint it as if the reason is their left leaning protrans views.     It really goes to show that giving people the tools to solve their problems is the better route. Windows has the same thing, if they bork the root partition you can hit repair and it tries to attempt to do what you describe but if it fails to automatically detect and resolve then thats it your fucked. But it might be a simple problem that the user could correct and fix if they were given the option or included in the process.

  • its probably just the type of games. 16 is fine for most games. My friend plays 100s of different games but only MH required more than 16. So 16 is fine but 32 is really the no worries amount. For me it was modded cities skyline that pushed me to get 32gb.
