I may post/reply/boost in:🇧🇷 🇺🇸 🇪🇸 🇯🇵 🇳🇴(or close languages)

I also may boost posts I make with alts, but I'm mainly here so that should be rare.

  • still pissed the name is not inspired on a canine/lupine

Jokes aside, glad to see it getting updated! Specially as some if the fixes are in line with Mozilla's "wontfix" lable. At worse, it should push the other forks to implement it, pressuring or ostracizing the now worsened browser, Firefox.

And about cross-posting as a thread, even on hybrid softwares like Mbin and Friendica you can't, so contents would need to be copied manually anyways.

  • You probably can't trust anything if it's compromised

  • Dunno if NBC is repositioning, pushing a tendency, or both, but glad to see the indication that parents are taking the role that should never stopped being theirs.

  • By the way, my focus capacity isn't good either, and normal study, e.g. university, I've found to be terrible for that. If you have a clear objective in mind, and you can discipline yourself into chasing it, that's a good chunk of the problem solved, at least from my experience. But also from my experiences, if you can find a tutor or private teacher that can adapt his/her strategies to keep you engaged in the studies, that should help immensely too, though the discipline to go after objectives still being needed imo.

  • A bit of a tangent, but regarding using AI, though it helped kickstarting your project, I strongly suggest studying coding as you can to be able to spot any oddities or straight up bs the LLM put in the code.

Also, either done by you or someone else, one of the few important things that were teached to me when I tried programming in university is that understanding the logic of your intended program comes before the programming itself.

So going generally by your description, ask yourself, how is a player meant to play your game? How could a game AI (≠ LLM AI) mimic that behavior? And perhaps it would make sense to include some degree of randomness to the AI's behavior?

With those from the previous paragraph, perhaps you could have a starting point to figuring out what to do.

  • Them = Discord indeed

And if it's their intention and not from others, them I think the second paragraph still stands.

  • Or maybe AI was the last strain in a series of problems that were stopping younger people from getting jobs.

Or even, perhaps AI as a strain could be an excuse to reposition back into hiring new people.

  • Discord being a bigger company, I'd think the switch just for this reason could be seen as a protest which should help pressure them into pressuring relevant parties. Though I agree people should also pressure their politicians directly too.

And there's also the possibility people were already annoyed at the platform for multiple reasons and the facial recording situation was the breaking point, giving a broader message to it.

  • Using Ollama, it's a bit laggy using Termux on a Redmi Note 10 Pro, though the model I picked may not be the best optimized.

  • Headline implies Meta is being dystopian. Text suggests they're hoarding the patent so others can't use. While sure, Facebook the company deserves all distrust in the world, that's quite the disonance between the title and the rest of the article. Gotta love such manipulative news, specially as people usually read just the headline.

  • Linux initially, giving way for me to see that the best alternatives to me are generally the ones I control.

And considering geopolitics, where I can see how dangerous a well-positioned spy/saboteur/paid actor can be, my next self host project is some ActivityPub social media, at least as an one-user instance since I don't want to act as a company yet, so I have control of where I'm posting from too.

  • There's that legal jargon that comes to mind, fishing expedition

  • the monkey's eyes follow

  • (Oma nare imperavi emu nare, ameno)

(Oma nare imperavi emu nare, ameno)

  • Ameno, oma nare imperavi ameno

  • Ameno ameno lantire

  • DORIME

  • I wonder how much of that could be mitigated if the ebooks were made officially DRM-free, or if people would be willing to buy but resort to illegal means because they don't want people owning stuff...
