  • Planet Crafter. I may have hyper-fixated on it for a good few weeks to finish it. I don't know why, but it was very addicting to me.

Also, not a game, but the Mekanism mod for Minecraft. Trying to setup automated resource production in as little space as possible is a very fun challenge. Plus the annoying sounds from each running machine is very satisfying to hear together.

  • 2 random words i thought of many years ago.

  • Probably not, unless something major happens.

  • Dring the Reddit Migration, this was the first one I heard about, so I picked it. Haven't been bothered to change it since.

  • That moment when you're stuck on a part of your code and you figure it out, write it, test it and it just works.

It's rare, but when it happens, it feels very good.

  • ffmpeg. It can extract video streams, audio, images. It can encode and decode video and audio, can split video files by chapters, can encode subtitles, etc.

There's very little that ffmpeg can't do with video and audio. It also has one of the largest man pages on Linux.

  • Both? There's no real pattern to which I choose for what situation, just whatever I feel like doing in the moment.

  • Livestreams of installing Linux and ricing the desktop. It's like c/unixporn but longer and better. The buildup into the final result would be way more satisfying than just a still image.

  • I never open Windows regardless of season.

I like the fresh scent of Mint in my house instead.

  • A nice, cold, cloudy day is what I enjoy. Bonus points for rain or snow. I can't stand the heat or sunny days: too bright.

  • I feel JavaScript should be more of a backend scripting language, like with Node, than a frontend. PHP can already accomplish a lot of what JS can do, just on the server-side as opposed to client-side.

PHP+CSS is really all you need to make something feel good. People often use JS to make a site look good, yet it usually suffers in functionality.

  • A mix between Cyberpunk 2077 without the cool tech, Black Mirror, and 1984.

  • No no, I think they mean "I'm sorry you feel that way."

  • Personally, I don't think there's are any "best brands" per se as most of them are just cramming shit features like AI and spyware to please their shareholders. Now "best phones"? There are definitely some good ones out there like some Fairphones or others. I'm using a OnePlus Nord, and while I don't like the company, the phone was affordable and had almost all the features I wanted. LineageOS flashed onto it solved the spyware issue as well.

  • Linux for sure. There isn't much else I could talk about for a while.

  • Killswitch Engage, mainly their 2002 and 2006 albums "Alive or Just Breathing" and "As Daylight Days", respectively.

Aside from that, some of Timecop1983's albums, mainly "Night Drive" (2018), "Faded Touch" (2021), and "Searching for Tomorrow" (2023).

  • Lawnchair. An improved Launcher3 that I use in place of Lineage's built-in launcher.

I don't really like text-only "simple" launchers as the icons help with quickly figuring out what app does what. Some of the features the AOSP Launcher3 lacks are present in Lawnchair/(mainly more customization over existing features).
