  • I like to think I got pretty good at guitar. I'm no virtuoso but I've gotten to the point where I've been truly stoked about where I'm at skill-wise a couple times.

As a kid I always thought I'd plateau in my mid 20s and would never really progress from there but I'm 35 now and I feel like learning in general is still an easy thing to do, or at least get started on.

Here's a clip if you wanna check out some playing.

I also feel like I'm a pretty good music engineer/producer. I like covering songs to practice my skills. Here's one I did recently.

  • To the tune of Industry Baby:

He is a Babyman A stimkin man And sometimes he's a chimkin man. He's begging on his knees Mommy please Won't you give me zoppity"

He's a Sphynx. His name is Babyman, he's stinky, and when he acts a fool we call him Chimkin Man because he looks like an uncooked chicken flailing around the house.

Zoppity is his freeze-dried venison food, named after a reference from The Office. "Bippity boppity, give me the zoppity."

  • A block from my house at this current moment.

  • Zero and yes. Best friends for 10 years, married now for the last 5.

  • Do we need to start review bombing sites that are doing this similar to how review bombs happen on Steam?

  • Good luck at your next appointment! 🤞

  • Why do you think that's the case? Its extremely likely that democrats and their donors are implicated as well. The safer bet is that these files are never released.

  • Yeah, I'd like to know.

  • Coffeezilla's got a video about the new details.

  • bright side to him winning is that it made a ton of people I don’t like really mad

I'm genuinely curious here so I have a question for you. Why is making people mad so appealing in this situation? I can't really see a true benefit beyond personal spite. Is that all it boils down to?

  • Wine is a translation layer, not an emulator so you'll likely appear in the Linux users list.

  • Anything that Steven Wilson has made. Dude's a living legend.

  • I only do baisc maintenance and setups for my friends now.

I've heard of beta blockers, but I've never looked into it. I'm kind of hesitant when it comes to dealing with any kind of side effects.

  • I worked at probably the best luthiery in North America. Got let go because I couldn't keep up. I have tremors which makes fine dextrous work very difficult. At the time I was also going through a brutal break-up too.

Really bad time for me. Also working at this place was like playing a couple good games of beer league hockey and immediately getting drafted into an NHL team. I feel like if I took another shot at it, it would go much better second time around. But it just wasn't meant to be at the time. No matter what, it was always going to be a massive uphill climb, but I was super dedicated to doing it and doing it well. It's unfortunate it came to such an abrupt end, but I understand why it had to happen.

  • There's plenty of fiction written on this premise. It only makes sense that an LLM will write something similar to what it's already ingested.

  • Not only is OP a slopper, but they can't even come up with their own OC to prompt an AI with.

    Shame.

  • Now THAT is some data porn.

  • I've experienced that criticism. To that I say I already know where I stand on these political issues and I'll amplify (and have amplified) voices I want amplified. Regardless of how much I filter out, the dust on the upper crust of world news still makes its way to me in some way or another so I'll always have a general idea of what's going on. I just don't need to know every tiny detail about the trillionth example of the dregs of human nature.

Living out from under that black cloud is truly liberating and I highly recommend anyone reading this to establish a filter list and block any communities that regularly kill your mood.
