Just a below average idiot that mostly comments for one of 3 reasons:

Catharsis, expressing exasperation over the general state of things.

  • In a similar position, nowhere near what my perfect life would be. Not even remotely close to it ever happening.

    Be in a loving relationship. (Been single for ~10 years. Longest relationship was 8 months...)

    Have a secure job that pays well that I enjoy. (I'm 40, uneducated, and work in a factory.)

    Own a home where I can have a garden and a workspace for crafts.(See #1&2 for why that's never happening, currently renting a garage "apartment.")

  • It's not even that it gets shot down, the Republicans decide what even gets a vote when they're in control as they are. There's no record to be had, it's just "I'm bringing up articles of impeachment to a vote" and Johnson says "no you aren't, fuck your impeachment. No vote will be had."

    I'm not defending cowardice, it's just a literal impossible task that has no visible outcome at all. There won't be a record because there won't be a vote at all.

  • It's frustrating, but I get it. As he even pointed out, with full Republican control there's no way this ever sees the light of day. There's no reason to pursue something that has literally 0 chance of going anywhere. Hell even my initial thought was "even if they did try, Republicans would just laugh and move on"

    The only thing they can realistically do is bitch about it during every media interaction possible.

  • It's either LSA or LSH, it's been almost 20 years since I made it so I forget which is which, but basically the process involves extracting one of those and turning it into the more potent other.

    For me it was like a much weaker LSD, but you still felt it quite a bit.

  • I did LSD for a few months when I lived with a few friends, I loved that stuff.

    LSA is pretty cool too and you can make it yourself without any risk of poisoning. Not sure about the rules so I won't explain how unless someone says it's cool lol

  • As far as what constitutes a good sense of humor I think there are a few ways to see it. One way to see it is being able to "take a joke," to know that you shouldn't be offended depending on the joke.

    Another way to see it is the actual understanding/ability to make jokes and to know when to do so.

    A third way to see it is with your eyes.

  • They're saying you're taking things too literally and not thinking about the potential meaning of the sentence.

    There is a belief that a lot of Vegans basically preach to others and look down on people who still consume meat. Their use of AI Vegan was meant to utilize that background and apply it to AI, so they don't want to come off as someone preaching or being a snob about their issues with AI.

  • The Costanza Rule is real, but any attempt to utilize it is a paradox.

    Rule: any decision I make is the wrong decision because I made it therefore I should always do the opposite.

    But to do the opposite is also a choice I am making and therefore it too will be the wrong choice.
