Just a below average idiot that mostly comments for one of 3 reasons:

  • On the one hand I'm surprised, but on the other I'm not since most political consultants are fucking out of touch idiots, but I think they were lazy and went for the more recent "hate Palestine or you're an antisemite" bit and found it didn't work.

    Next I'm worried they're going to use the much more effective "defund the police makes you unsafe" bit and lean heavier into the "communist" game, if he doesn't get deported first of course... I'm very happy he won the primary, but I have very little faith he's going to win the general election unfortunately :/

  • Unfortunately I strongly believe peaceful protest only works with a government that actually gives a shit. If we had a government that was comprised of people who we simply disagreed with but who still respected "the will of the people" they'd react to massive outcries.

    We do not have that government. We have a government actively pushing for the president to have dictator "unitary executive" powers. As in: setting the president above the judiciary, and having Congress subservient to the presidency. They do not give a single solitary fuck about how upset we are about XYZ thing.

  • The type of dream I enjoy the absolute most are called "lucid dreams." It's when you actually recognize you're dreaming and can take control of it. I could be dreaming of walking down the sidewalk and see a cool car, realize I'm dreaming, and then just say ok I'm going to get in that car and drive it lol

    Unfortunately they're super super rare so I think I've only had like 4 that I remember.

  • Lemmy obviously is "smaller" so there isn't as much breadth of content, but I like it. I just don't like that the smaller community makes me feel like I'm more likely to be "recognized" over time, I prefer to be "just another voice."

    Used to use reddit until they pulled their bullshit with 3rd party apps.

    Edit: another answer made me reconsider what it means to "use" reddit, so yeah if I'm searching for information on Google or something and there's an answer on Reddit I'll read it, but I don't log in or communicate on there at all.
