    Specifically it is about 75% of the population being functionally or clinically illiterate as I said. This is more likely caused by the fact that American culture is anti intellectual, and not the lack of being taught etymology, as etymology has little to do with literacy.

    Why are you arguing with someone who made a joke about AI self harming? Especially without knowing that AI is hard coded functionality and algorithms?

  • I think it is funny that an automated program is usually responsible for adding email signatures, so if this is AI it is arguing against it's own existence for the sake of power conservation. Which is evidence that AI is not self aware or AI has self harming tendencies.

  • It seems that they think that if they scream "AI" loud enough and pretend it is sentient no one will know that most of the world working towards automated intelligence are now aiming for an Intelligent Agent, or "IA", and the general census seems to be IA wont be achievable with current AI models.

    Also "IA" wouldn't need a button. It would just dip.

  • Building Wind, Solar, and Hydro is worse than doing nothing because of the massive environmental impacts they have.

    We also have technologies like Modular Nuclear Reactors which can produce up to 300 MW of power per unit and be factory built.

    Fact of the matter is we have the solution but ignoramus' who don't understand Science once again oppose human advancement and survival, without even considering sacrificing all of their energy dependent toys that Science built and are more dangerous than Nuclear Energy.

  • The amount of resources needed to build and maintain wind, solar, and hydro coupled with the massive environmental impacts make all three something that shouldn't be considered for long term "green" solutions.
