Migrating here (or maybe keeping both) from @ArcaneSlime@lemmy.ml

Will put an eternal curse on your enemies for a Cinemageddon invite.

  • Tbf I stopped playing BO:2 because of the full auto headseeking ballistic knives that went through walls in my Sticks and Stones matches.

    Inside windowless room alone

Ball knife to the head from nowhere

    "What the fuck?"

    Killcam.mp4

Guy is outside halfway across the map

Checks board, he's at 94k and 0d, everyone else at 0k and a bunch of deaths

"Well, it was fun while it lasted."

  • Nah that was just the temporary after effects of Agent Orange, he's "better" now if you don't count the cancer.

  • As to #2:

Raceplay (for some reason) exists, so yeh probably.

  • In your defense, same shit really.

  • Was never an issue when ya'll were pouring acid to get us out of the pool

    Hadn't heard about this one

    https://rarehistoricalphotos.com/motel-manager-pouring-acid-water-black-people-swam-pool-1964/

The motel manager, Jimmy Brock, in an effort to break up the party, poured a bottle of muriatic acid into the pool, hoping the swimmers would become scared and leave.

One swimmer, who knew that the ratio of acid to pool water was so great that the acid was no longer a threat, drank some of the pool water to calm the other swimmers’ fears.

It did not scare the swimmers, though it seems like it was effective in making the protesters at least nervous — the amount of acid to the amount of water being so small it was mostly safe—and so a cop jumped in to arrest people.

Ah that's why. Still a dick move, but definitely not the horror show it is intended to sound like, and not as often as it's intended to sound, being "once" and all.

An off-duty policeman, Officer Henry Billitz, jumped in—except for his shoes still fully clothed—in an attempt at dragging them out himself; he beat them up as well.

Yeah that's about what I'd expect.

In 2007, aged 85, Jimmy Brock died at his St. Augustine home.

Well, good news, looks like everyone who threw acid into pools to scare black people 61yr ago is dead! At least there's that. That whole "policeman" thing otoh...

  • Tbh both are equally likely.

  • Well actually he does that sometimes. Bat-Man Off World (coming to a close this week) has him facing off against the rulers of the Blakksun Mining Co. which enslaves planets worth of people to run its ship (and perpetual storm forcefeild) and mining operations, and kills dissenters horrifically somehow off panel. The colorist is doing a great job.

  • Not everyone is as adept. (And that Altima was probably recently purchased used, tbf lol).

Also I've seen a ~25yo undercover minivan with the paint half worn to primer in my area, that trick is less reliable here since 2010ish.

  • It's so that people have a harder time saying "yes officer it was a Toyota Camry" unless they're familiar with the body style enough to know it isn't a Honda Accord without the markings. "A truck" is less descriptive than "A black Dodge Ram 1500."

  • I'm still waiting for them to finish loading in.

  • Some people just can't think of shit when put on the spot with questions like "but why do you love me" because my brain is made of fluffy kittens playing clumsily with ribbons.

    I still have the nightmares.

  • Obligitory:

This phrase doesn't mean what everyone thinks it means. "The customer" != you, "the customer" refers to the market as a whole.

As in if I run Bob's Hat Emporium and I only sell red hats, and purple hats become the latest fashion, well I best goddamn stock some purple hats.

It doesn't mean that you gets this scarf for free because you found it in the wrong section, Carol.

  • Just from the pic, I bet $10 that the second burger is the best one pictured. The first is the one where the patty is full of sawdust and covered in Vaseline for shine, the mayo is Elmer's and the cheese is plastic, so it looks good for the commercial.

  • Tbf, I used to have a t-shirt that said I Set My Friends On Fire, and I often had a lighter while wearing it, but I do not in fact Set My Friends On Fire. There was however a band, that happened to have the name "I Set My Friends On Fire," and there were also these things called "Camel Turkish Royal cigarettes..."

  • My account got deleted for inactivity like forever ago. I don't post pics and there wasn't much there at the time, I wish they'd have left it but I understand.

Anyway, what's a good instance to make a new account? Mostly gonna lurk, don't post pics much (or really at all), as I said.

  • Except AUS, kinda.

  • why has the "n" word never lost its strength as an oppressive word?

Tbf, it has to an extent, hence the "A" VS "hard R" distinction. The power was taken back as they say through repeated usage, some would call overuse, by the community who is allowed to say it. Other communities still aren't allowed to say it sure, but it did contextually lose power through overuse.
