  • Another party won't help. They have already gotten their fix in. Voting doesn't matter in the US anymore.

    Voting won't save us now. Self defense and community defense are all we have left. The system has been stolen by the ultra rich, and they are gleefully enacting as much violence against us all as they want, because they "know" they don't have to listen to us anymore. The only fix is to Luigi the violent class.

    New York Style Cheesecake Stuffed Chocolate Covered, Graham Cracker Rolled Strawberries.

    Needed ingredients:

    Strawberries. I normally go ahead and get double the amount I intend to make, so that I can be picky about less than perfect strawberries, which can be set aside to be cut into thin slices and dusted with confectioner's sugar. So 4 containers of strawberries. Leave in fridge until ready to make.

    Candy maker's chocolate melts. They may be called something else, they are small dots of chocolate that you can melt in a pot to have molten chocolate handy. Generally need about 1 cup of chocolate for every 8-10 strawberries. You want either dark chocolate, or semi-sweet. Milk chocolate is way too sweet with all the other sugar in this.

    New York Style Cheesecake filling. I'm not putting a full recipe here, but for the love of entropy, don't use a box mix.

    Graham Cracker crumbs. Either throw some graham crackers into a food processor, or just buy a bag of the stuff.

    Once you have all the ingredients, start melting your chocolate in a double boiler while you prep the strawberries.

    Remove all the strawberry leaves. This is crucial if you're going to reseal and double dip the strawberries. Also ensure you match the tops and bottoms so that you can rematch them together.

    Cut the top ¼ inch off the strawberries. Insert your knife into the middle of the strawberries, and twist the knife to make a pocket.

    Use an icing bag to pipe in the cheesecake filling.

    Holding the bottom of the strawberry, barely dip it into the chocolate on the top of the cut berry, and use the chocolate as a glue to adhere the top of the berry back to the top, sealing the cheesecake inside. Dip the top of the berry, and allow to cool.

    Once you have dipped all of the top of the berries, finish the chocolate coating by dipping the bottom, and rolling in the graham cracker crumbs to create a small "base."

    Store in the fridge for at least two hours to allow the chocolate to fully harden.

    Congratulations you now can totally spoil your wife, or possibly get out of the doghouse.

    I basically never share this technique, as it is one that I came up with myself.

  • Have you ever seen a chicken hatch? It's a messy and destructive process. Before that first peck, the chick inside the egg is all but invulnerable. As soon as it makes that first crack though, all bets are off. The shell can cut the chick killing it, it can drown in the remaining embryonic fluid in the egg if it can't get out in time, and it is immediately set upon by hordes of bacteria and viruses that couldn't get to it. However, as long as everything goes somewhat normally, 5 minutes late you have a cute fluffy chick.

    Humanity takes a bit longer to develop societally because so many bad habits have inertia. Your generation kept the ball rolling, and specifically set up the necessary destruction needed to get society to the point that you were at 55 years ago. The process started in the mid 1800s, and should finish, in the next couple to few decades, with either all of us dead, or whoever's left uniting under a single banner of equality and prosperity for all.

  • I agree, but bread and noodles were damn near the first stable foodstuffs we discovered. I suppose beer would be the next stable food we discovered worldwide. I only have an issue because you're talking about a food that literally every single civilization discovered independently, so bread as we know it, isn't bread as an all encompassing concept.

    The white guy is almost a cutie next to the red one. They're still both chromatic dragons, and therefore evil. One is just leaning more towards lawful evil, and the other seems to have embraced chaotic evil

  • Cooking. I don't mean heating up prepared food. I mean taking raw produce, spices, herbs, and starches to make your own food. Doesn't need to be extravagant. Start with an omelette or maybe properly made scrambled eggs. Move on to other "easy" dishes like grilled cheese sandwiches and spaghetti. I am constantly amazed when I hear fully grown adults saying shit like, "I could never make anything like Beef Wellington." Yes you can, just try and fail a few times!
