I spent a month counting animals in a small African preserve. The way it worked was that each member of the team would walk in a given direction for a few hours and make a note of all the animals we'd see in a two hundred metres radius. Also we all had one ranger which came with a 1940s rifle and one bullet.
There were one or two countings per day. We saw lots of animals. I never saw any large predators, although I saw lion tracks a few times. Hippos were probably the most dangerous animals we regularly met, so the banks of lakes and rivers were avoided. The other animals ignored us or avoided us.
While all of that is true, the thing is that most people just don't care. They just use two or three programs (poorly) and don't really care about the underlying system, never mind the computer. That's why windows is so entrenched.
Much better than my current Samsung fridge where that obnoxious Samsung rep has to come every week to plaster a new ad on the door. At least it won't leave glue all over the floor.
As a non windows user, I don't get to interact with Microsoft systems an awful lot, but to me windows 10 felt like a complete system while windows 11 always feels like an early beta for some reason. It has some kind of unfinished, wet paint quality to it.
That's why there's no autism in the rest of the planet. No Tylenol. We just use paracetamol, which is perfectly safe.
