  • Can we agree that women put themselves at enhanced risk if they date men convicted of murdering past girlfriends?

  • I think it's fair to say histories and red flags are not enough. But they are something. You will have false negatives (the guy hid it or his personality has changed for the worse) and false positives (the guy has changed for the better or the red flag wasn't a good indicator).

You can't predict behavior with certainty, but you can improve your odds.

  • This is how you get cocaine bears.

  • "My statement was obviously an exaggeration. It was not meant as advice to be taken literally," he said. "The overwhelming majority of men are not violent and are not criminals."

I guess better advice would be how to get background information on prospective partners and, if there's no history in the courts or from former partners, what some red flags to look for might be. How do you differentiate the safe men from the dangerous ones?

From the article, the chief and the reporter got threats afterward. A bit ironic to want to do violence to someone who warned that relationships can become violent.

  • His own lawyers aren't even saying he couldn't have written those Discord messages - he was in jail! The whole article is about a conspiracy against their client the defense isn't even siding with. It's utter bollocks, and Lemmings pushing it is shameful.

  • Well, it's been two days. Has this gaping hole been covered in the mainstream press, or are they in on the conspiracy?

  • Perhaps my comment is misunderstood. There is no evidence in the OP's article. It links other articles, which also fail to provide evidence.

The Canary incorrectly cited a video with timestamps described in one of the defendant's filings. In that filing, the defendant's attorneys don't even claim what the Canary claims the Prospect claims. How did the defendant's attorneys miss that the video timestamps of their client's interrogation happened while their client was supposed to be writing stuff on Discord? They didn't. It's a nothingburger.

Anyway. i was mocking the commenter's statement that they're open to evidence of the obvious by comparing it to a flat earther's alleged openness.

  • Did you hear that? Nike no longer tolerates walkers. I'm going to burn my Nike walking shoes.

  • In this and other reporting, the Canary shows itself to be a complete nonsense rag. But because this stupid "timing" conspiracy feeds into the political narrative supported by users here, they're going to think it has legs. They don't oppose conspiracies based on critical thinking. They oppose them based on what politics they support.

  • Everyone has AIDS from the musical Lease. It has nothing to do with Rent.

  • Absolutely, yes. If a person wants to dye their hair, it's their prerogative. They also should be able to re-dye it or let it grow back to the natural color at the frequency of their choosing.

Asking about their roots puts pressure on them to dye it again. Why would you ask unless you're saying they're super noticeable?

  • This was already in cuckoo conspiracy theory land before they invoked the Jewish masterminds behind all evil.

  • Yes it is.

  • Exactly. An equally interesting story is that Polymarket traders lost more than $300,000 betting on Biden pardons.

  • Insider trading is still illegal for Congress.

  • I don't even drink coffee.

I looked at the other comments, and this one isn't the least useful.

  • The last thing the Trump administration wants to do is get the US involved in a war in some far away land!
