    If the people will only vote neoliberal or fascist, theres nothing to be done other than store food and water and hope you aren't noticed until complete societal collapse. There is no possible path to a decent society when both choices are fine with the poor dying to enrich their bribers.

    I think after 24 years of holding my nose and voting Neoliberal, telling myself the lesser evil will somehow lead to salvation, and fighting for Sanders on 2 campaigns, I'm done participating. Harris was my last gasp of appealing to this cesspool's nonexistent sense of decency. I'm not going to endorse or signify the Neoliberals new meet in the middle low next cycle, where they call for "more humane" concentration camps as compromise. My hands are dirty enough voting for the good cop in this corpo fascist good cop/bad cop routine all this time.

    George Carlin called it, the people suck so things really can't get better. We're a garbage people that largely despise the idea of an equitable society. Better collapse than perpetuating that. Not like people who only vote for which tribe to hurt deserve more.

    It's demoralizing at this late hour, with our own habitat turning against us by our own hands, that the two great banes of human civilization, God and Capitalism, still hold near universal sway over our species. Both toxic and incompatible with a lasting technological civilization in homeostasis/equilibrium with its environment.

    Why care about this world or your species if your "eternal reward" is somewhere else in your deluded mind? How can you find equilibrium with your environment if metastasis/growth is your only practiced priority?

    Unfortunately for us, and fortunately for the Earth and most life on it long term, the physics of the greenhouse effect can be neither suckered nor bribed. The Earth will recover on its own timetable after we are dealt with. Just another problematic evolutionary mistake like the trees of the carboniferous period that couldn't yet efficiently decompose (the bacteria to do so hadnt yet evolved), causing the opposite problem of the one we're causing, leading to an Ice age.

    The tragedy of our species is that we had the agency and knowledge to NOT destroy the climate of our habitat, and simply chose to do so anyway. Don't worry though, Gawd'll save us!

    I just hope when the revolution starts, Americans remember their enemy largely isn't in DC, those are middle managers with the exception of Trump and his cabinet who've cut out the well bribed middleman in the executive branch, they're on Wall Street, in guard gated communities and towers, on golf courses, and in mega yacht supporting ports.

    As in all of civilization's history, one need only identify those holding the largest bags of cash asset portfolios as a result of all the carnage to know who is most responsible.
