  • I'm a green beans enjoyer too. Snap-frozen green beans have improved in quality quite a bit since I was a kid, but fresh ones in a curry, stew or peanut satay absolutely rock.

  • I buy a lot less meat, and I consume much less too. I eat a lot more grains, pulses and vegetables instead.

    I still get some meat from the supermarket, but I also try to buy direct from the farm or get free meat in exchange for services, like some sort of neopeasant.

    When I use meat, I bulk it out by other means, like lentils or barley, and flavor-up with various techniques.

    I don't eat pork or beef unless it's provided to me by the person that owned the animal. I still eat a lot of lamb and chicken though.
