Nowadays it would all be CGI. But back in the day... They'd put actors through hell with full makeup that would take hours to apply. And if you were really lucky, you got to do that for years and years!
I'm going to recommend an ice or pcm vest to keep cool in the summer. Makes wearing protective gear much more bearable. If you live in a dry climate you can use various water evaporating gear.
I think the CEOs are playing a game of pass the buck. They only need the current quarter or year to match their predicted profits (line goes up). So they do more and more damage each quarter until the scheme collapses. Then they golden parachute out and a new CEO starts their game (often by firing as many people as possible).
