No, this is what happens when they are a selfish prick who doesn't care about their surroundings. Even if I agree with the lack of 3.5 jack, a crappy pair of bt earphones are cheap, and will save the rest of us from listening to their crap.
They are probably listening to low quality spotify streams or, worse, compressed mp3, so it's not as if a pair of headphones would make any difference in sound quality...

It can be quite simple: the government, under user request, can generate a certificate that only contains the fact that you are more than 18 years old and is stored locally in your device. Since it's the state the one issuing it, the info of the cert can be trusted.
Then, when you log into a service requiring age verification, you log using your device that sends the info from your locally stored certificate, telling the website simply that you are not underage.
The state doesn't need to know how are you using the cert, and the website won't receive any personal info because the certification authority is a trusted organsation so the info about it is automatically trustworthy.
When I fall of my bike, hurt my arm and need a doctor to fix it, I don't have to think about insurance or medical debt, or anything. I just go to the hospital and go back home to heal without paying a dime and with paid leave for as long as I need to recover.
I also love that I can take an affordable train to go almost everywhere in my country, that universities don't require a loan so high that you will be paying for it for years... I could go on, but you get the idea.
I love paying taxes because it's way cheaper than the american alternative.

Days ago I discovered vacuumtube for steam deck. It's basically youtube with tv interface but with all the adblocks. It works wonders in game mode and even has controller support.
