I use the JetBrain AI like a search engine when the web has no obvious answer. Most of time it gives me a good starting point, and the answer is adjusted to the existing content.
It can also translate snippets from one language or framework to another. For (a fake) example, translating from Unity in Python to Vulkan in C++.
I also use it to analyze shitty code from people who left the company a long time ago. Refactoring and cleaning obscure stuff like deeply hidden variables or things that would take days to analyze can be done in minutes.
I'm not a good user since I watch at most one YouTube video per week. But knowing the massive amount of videos and all the random crap that is suggested, I guess that 99% of those videos are clickbait one way or another to get ad money.
I don't think all that crap has damaged the platform. YouTube naturally turned into the old TV that I watched before the internet.
There is no "good YouTube" at all, only a web site that was not monetized to death. Same for most crappy web services that replaced local applications, and added a login and a subscription to use your own data.
You can't be bullied if everyone is uncut. And as you say it's cultural, it makes absolutely no sense for me and I don't understand parents who voluntarily butcher the genitals of their children. I can't believe it still exists.
