Thank you. I don't have one, so I wasn't sure if it like... Shed or something? I don't know, I don't know what's going on down there, but you guys are doing great.
When I worked in customer service, a guy kept calling in and waiting until he got a woman so he could say vulgar shit. Another guy called me a "n*gger bitch" and he was put on letters only. I know he couldn't tell what race I was over the phone, but I immediately said "fuck you" and hung up and then proceeded to panic about losing my job once the initial shock wore off. I didn't lose my job though. 👍🏾
What gender was the person that pushed the ball?: seen from the bust, but a masculine physique
What did they look like?: Grey shirt, light skinned, clean nails, hands looks slightly worn.
What size is the ball? Like a marble, or a baseball, or a basketball, or something else?: Tennis ball size. Smooth and has a good bounce, but sounds solid.
What about the table, what shape was it? What is it made of? Rectangle. Wooden. Smooth, but had a knot in it.
And now the important question: Did you already know, or did you have to choose a color/gender/size, etc. after being asked these questions?
I already knew? .
I had to visualize it first to answer any questions.
If I was posting it as a meme? Maybe. I could see myself posting like... "someone waking up at 6 am VS someone already up" and post just the character singing the line. Would I expect everyone to get it? No, not unless I'm posting in a place where 100% of the people are supposed to know the next scene is him at a funeral. But I'd be okay knowing that some people may not get the joke because I didn't post, "by the way, you see, in this scene, this character is saying 'it's a beautiful morning,' but it is in fact not a beautiful morning! Because he is actually at a funeral, which is so sad! I used this because, while someone who is still awake might enjoy an early morning, someone who is just waking up may not. You see, if you watched the show, you will know the next scene is people looking confused and offended at the funeral. This would be the face of the early riser, would it not! Oh, what a laugh! Please see this link to the full scene and episode, so the joke can really hit you."
Tons of memes are reduced to their basic parts. That's just memes. Hell," Loss" is a great example of that. It's just layout at this point. And sometimes if you don't see the reference where people sneak it in, you're just like, "I don't get it, this just looks like a normal post" and that's okay. It's okay not to get the joke.
I think you're really hung up on that they brought up that Columbus was a shitty person. The joke isn't even about that. Like you said, it's well known, it's the context in which the information is being given that makes it funny.
I don't know if you've ever seen Scrubs, but there's a scene when a character burst into the scene singing "It's a Beautiful Morning." Turns out he's at a funeral. That isn't funny because the character sang a song, it's funny because of where he was singing it and how it's juxtaposed with where he was. What you're doing right now is, "so what's the joke? That it's a beautiful morning? We already know that! This is woke bullshit!"
It's a scene from a show. The joke is that woman being a killjoy. Yes, the scene may need to be explained, but so does, like, that "this is my hole" meme. If you don't understand context, then it may miss you.
And, honestly, even if it is "woke," okay? Like, I don't understand the issue. Just that you don't think it's funny?
Automatic litter box! They're so pricey, I always wasn't in a place to do it, but I finally bit the bullet. I don't think I can go back. It's so easy, and my cat wasn't scared at all. I also feel better knowing she always has clean litter. When she comes to bed I can just run the box from my app.
Bonus: it rotates sideways so my cat can keep her head. 👍🏾
A lot of work for "meh" pay. It burns people out, and a lot of people took covid as a chance to change jobs, if not careers. And a lot of companies that put people back in the office lost a ton of people, so if you're insurance company has done that, there's a good chance your" insurance professional" is just some guy sitting in a training class.
I currently have 260 claims under my name and I'm not the highest. Customers don't like you because insurance is the devil (which I agree with), you have to make decisions that don't feel right because your company is looking for results, and you are harrased via phone, email, and teams. It's just 8 hours a day (minimum) of just back to back to back nonsense and brow beating. And, in the US, almost every state has their own laws and statutes around auto insurance, so keeping track of every difference is overwhelming. Our resources suck so there's a lot you just have to memorize. Because they want people to wear every hat, shit gets missed very, very often. I get fucked up claims all the time.
And there's no "off." it doesn't slow down or get easier, because the bosses won't let it. They want to have as few people do the most and the quality suffers because of it, and it puts a lot of stress in the employees. Whenever we say anything, we get a "Yeah, that's tough" before they give us more shit.
Cocoa has an "a" at the end of it. I was in college and was like, "haha, they spelled it weird." Nope, just a dumbass.
A BLT is literally just bacon, lettuce, and tomato. I thought it was just the toppings on the base meat (like how a pepperoni pizza inculdes bread, sauce, etc.). I don't like bacon or raw tomato, so I never had one.
There is no bone in the penis. I swore there was one until I made it to 3D molding and, as we were going over different body parts and their movement, I asked my male friend "Hey, where's the penis bone/muscle." He looked at me like I had two heads. I assumed it could do tricks, like waving and stuff. 🤷🏿♀️
