Is it worth getting tcg cards graded?

I have cards like Pokemon and magic and im wondering if its worth getting some cards graded or not?Is there a cheaper way to get graded cards? Im just wondering whats the point as im thinking of selling some of my collection and im wondering if i should do singles, or graded, or something else?
